Algorand Rocca Wallet Powers Pera 7.0 and AC2 Protocol

Algorand (ALGO) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Blockchain.news reports that Algorand's Rocca Wallet infrastructure now drives Pera Wallet 7.0 and the AC2 Wallet. The Algorand Foundation revealed that Rocca, a white-label solution for customizable crypto wallets, has enabled these two live products. This marks the first practical application of Rocca since it appeared on Algorand's roadmap in 2025.

Pera Wallet 7.0 was rebuilt entirely on Rocca's infrastructure, consolidating separate iOS and Android codebases into a single React Native app. The upgrade introduced features like "Sign in With Algorand" and multi-network support to improve usability. Rocca provides modular infrastructure for secure key storage, decentralized identity, and passkey support.

The AC2 Wallet uses Rocca to enable cryptographically provable interactions between human users and AI agents via the AC2 Protocol. This ensures approvals are tied to verifiable digital signatures rather than spoofable chat messages. The Algorand Foundation confirmed more projects are in the pipeline, including a Digital Chess ID launching later in 2026.

Developers can access Rocca's open-source documentation and repositories on GitHub. As of August 27, 2026, ALGO was trading at $0.092171, up 3.66% in the last 24 hours.
