BNB Chain Hits $1B Milestone in Tokenized Stocks and ETFs
Tronweekly.com reports that BNB Chain has become the first blockchain to surpass $1 billion in tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds. Token Terminal data indicates the network now holds approximately $1.1 billion, representing roughly 30% of the $3.7 billion total sector. This places BNB Chain ahead of Ethereum, which holds about $827.5 million, and Solana, with around $738.4 million.
The growth is driven by products such as Ondo Global Markets and Binance’s bStocks and xStocks. By June, the ecosystem hosted more than 709 tokenized stocks and ETFs with cumulative volume exceeding $5 billion. Binance Research noted that BNB Chain held about 34% of the market by mid-September with 1.8 million holders.
Tokenized stock transfers surged to over $100 billion in the third quarter, up from $6 billion in the first quarter. Additionally, the share of value deployed in DeFi rose from 1.8% to 6.3% during 2026. This milestone arrives as the SEC granted temporary exemptive relief for trading tokenized NMS stocks on September 17. Despite this ecosystem expansion, BNB’s price remained stable, trading around $770 on October 2.
