Genius.fun Launches on BNB Chain for Tokenized Stocks

BNB (BNB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

cvj.ai reports that Genius Foundation has launched Genius.fun on BNB Chain, a platform enabling crypto communities to buy tokenized public-company shares. The project allows online groups to pool capital into tokens backed by equities, aiming to pursue board seats, activist campaigns, or acquisitions. Participants can accumulate exposure to shares and potentially redeem tokenized positions for underlying equity, though rights depend on the specific product structure.

Creators can choose trading pairs including BNB, USDT, USDC, or assets from Ondo, bStocks, xStocks, and 4Stocks. A new product called gPerps is expected to introduce additional markets for these tokenized assets. Token creators receive up to 1.25% of trading fees, while 0.25% funds token buybacks.

Tokens graduate to PancakeSwap once they reach a threshold of 15 BNB, ensuring sufficient liquidity before listing on the major decentralized exchange. The platform seeks to turn online attention into a treasury capable of influencing corporate governance, though legal hurdles regarding securities laws remain. The Foundation has not disclosed how treasury decisions or voting power will be managed within these community structures.

BNB is trading at $725.92, with a 1-hour buy ratio of 57.3% indicating immediate short-term buying pressure. However, this contrasts with a 4-hour buy ratio of 41.4%, suggesting that buying interest is fading over a slightly longer timeframe. The 1-hour volume delta is positive at +$421,228, showing net inflows in the last hour, whereas the 4-hour delta is negative at -$4,396,212, indicating net outflows over the past four hours. The 24-hour buy ratio sits at 49.8%, with a cumulative volume delta of -$372,075 and a CVD of -$8,959,977. This data suggests that while there is momentary buying activity, the broader 24-hour trend remains slightly bearish with net selling pressure. The market has experienced net buying for only 8 of the last 24 hours, highlighting inconsistent demand.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.4% sits at the 18th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - weaker buying than most days.
