Sign unveils sovereign stablecoin framework with BNB Chain

BNB (BNB)

Cryptobriefing.com reports that Sign and BNB Chain launched the Sovereign Stablecoin Framework on August 26 to help governments issue regulated stablecoins. The system separates on-chain settlement handled by BNB Chain from local issuance managed by licensed domestic institutions. Kyrgyzstan's Som-pegged KGST token is already live as the first real-world deployment of this structure. Sign utilizes its Sovereign L2 Stack, deployed in November 2025, to allow governments to spin up infrastructure quickly. BNB Chain brings scale to the partnership with roughly $18 billion in stablecoin supply and over 78 million holders. This model aims to sidestep compliance headaches by positioning government-issued tokens differently than private alternatives. Sign has disclosed engagements with governments in the UAE, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Sierra Leone.

BNB is trading at $694.41 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 60.7%, indicating strong short-term buying pressure compared to the 52.7% ratio over the 4-hour window. This 1-hour volume delta of +$532,720 contrasts with a 4-hour delta of +$582,388, suggesting that recent buying momentum is accelerating relative to the broader intraday trend. While immediate price action shows renewed buyer interest, the daily metrics indicate that the overall trend remains bearish as net buying occurred in only 13 of the last 24 hours.
