Injective rewrites whitepaper for institutional finance as INJ sees mixed spot flow

Injective (INJ) Editor: Eugene Serbin

lookonchain.com reports that Injective has released a new version of its whitepaper, marking the first full rewrite since the original launch in December 2018. The updated document positions Injective as a Layer 1 blockchain for institutional-grade finance and asset tokenization, covering the full lifecycle from issuance to settlement. A native real-world asset tokenization framework introduces role-based permissions for minting, transferring, receiving, and burning assets.

The iAssets feature uses stablecoin margin and oracle pricing to offer derivatives tracking external assets without requiring wrapping or pre-funding. Tokenized assets trade on a fully on-chain central limit order book with sealed high-frequency batch auctions executed per block to mitigate front-running and MEV. Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus delivers deterministic finalization with block times averaging around 600 milliseconds.

The whitepaper also covers native Ethereum Virtual Machine and WebAssembly environments sharing a unified state, perpetual contract risk management, and AI agent finance. AI agents can interact with tokenized assets via MCP servers, strategy-constrained signatures, and x402 machine payments denominated in USDC. On-chain protocol revenue will be allocated to regular INJ community buyback programs.
