Binance Burns 334M LUNC as Guarda Adds Support

Terra Classic (LUNC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

DailyCoin reports that Binance executed its 48th monthly burn on September 1, 2026, destroying 334.87 million LUNC tokens. This latest action brings the exchange’s cumulative burn total to over 87.76 billion LUNC. Despite these efforts, approximately 5.52 trillion tokens remain in circulation, down from an original 6.42 trillion.

Trading fees generated on Binance are converted and burned monthly to reduce the over-minted supply. However, ecosystem upgrades have not yet stabilized trading volumes, which dropped significantly after the v4.0.1 mainnet upgrade in mid-May last year. In a move to boost adoption, Guarda announced the addition of Luna Classic to its self-custodial wallet ecosystem.

This allows holders to store LUNC with their own private keys. Additionally, Binance renewed LUNC deposits and withdrawals in August to capture activity shifting to DeFi. Following these developments, LUNC recorded a 1% gain to trade at $0.0000509.
