Morpho Midnight audit reports show no critical vulnerabilities

Morpho (MORPHO) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Cryptobriefing.com reports that Morpho Midnight has published its full suite of security audit reports on GitHub. The fixed-rate lending protocol, built from scratch over two years, released assessments from five firms including Spearbit, Blackthorn, Trust Security, and StErMi, alongside a Cantina competition. Spanning from April to early September 2026, these reviews found no critical vulnerabilities, with issues categorized only as low to medium severity.

The protocol launched publicly on Base on July 21, 2026, operating with a compact codebase of approximately 1,100 lines. Unlike variable-rate models, Morpho Midnight offers fixed-rate, fixed-maturity lending for defined periods. The team also employed formal verification through Certora to ensure code logic.

Initial operations began with low capital lockup, suggesting a cautious rollout strategy. This architecture aims to support structured financial products like tokenized real-world asset financing. The protocol’s existing variable-rate counterpart has already shown meaningful traction in DeFi lending markets.
