Zama Launches 16 Confidential Vaults on Morpho with Five Curators

Morpho (MORPHO) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Cvj.ai reports that Zama has expanded its confidential DeFi offerings by launching 16 vaults in partnership with Morpho and five curators: Steakhouse Financial, Armitage by Wintermute, Flowdesk, RockawayX, and Bitwise. This move introduces confidential access to USDC, USDT, WBTC, AUSD, and TGBP, aiming to attract institutional capital by addressing privacy concerns. The expansion builds on a June launch with Steakhouse that grew to $40 million TVL in seven weeks, proving the model at scale.

The new suite includes 12 Hybrid vaults offering confidential entry to existing strategies and 4 Exclusive vaults like the Wintermute Confidential WBTC. Zama also launched the Zama Swap Protocol, allowing confidential swaps between positions without exposing intent or size. Dr. Rand Hindi stated that the expansion proves confidentiality and DeFi are not mutually exclusive at scale.

Sébastien Derivaux of Steakhouse noted that depositors value confidentiality, making the extension to a five-vault suite a natural next step. Merlin Egalite of Morpho highlighted that this step scales confidential DeFi efficiently for allocators. Guilhem Chaumont of Flowdesk emphasized that confidentiality is a condition for onchain capital markets to carry institutional volume. The vaults are available via the Zama App, with additional entry points like Zerion Wallet rolling out soon.

Today’s 24-hour buy ratio of 61.1% is 6.7 percentage points higher than the weekly average, marking an unusual day of heightened buying interest. However, the 24-hour spot volume of $2,736,068 is only 0.90x the weekly average, indicating that while buying is more concentrated, the overall volume is slightly below typical levels. The total volume delta over the eight-day period stands at +$2,512,906, reflecting consistent accumulation despite the price dropping 8.8% over the same timeframe.
