Bitwise launches first US ETP for NEAR Protocol

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) Editor: Eugene Serbin

newsdirectory3.com reports that Bitwise has launched the first exchange-traded product backed by NEAR Protocol in the United States market. The fund began trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker NRR on 29 September 2026. This vehicle offers institutional and traditional investors a regulated way to gain exposure to the asset without managing crypto wallets directly.

Bitwise applies an annual management fee of 0.75% and utilizes an internal staking mechanism for the NEAR held in the fund. Approximately 67% of staking rewards are passed to investors, while the remaining 33% covers operational expenses. The launch follows growth in the NEAR ecosystem driven by its sharded architecture and decentralized AI compatibility.

Bitwise previously supported the asset through institutional analysis, a European product, and its role as a network validator. Representatives described the start of NRR operations as solid compared to other individual crypto vehicles launched this year. However, initial flow and volume figures signal secondary market interest without guaranteeing sustained long-term demand. The product aims to attract family offices and institutional funds interested in layer-1 assets and decentralized infrastructure.
