Pendle launches fixed-yield USDG market on Robinhood Chain

Pendle (PENDLE) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Cryptobriefing.com reports that Pendle Finance has launched a fixed-yield market for USDG on Robinhood Chain, with a maturity date set for March 2027. The integration allows users to lock in a predetermined return on the Paxos-issued stablecoin, bypassing the variable rates typical of lending vaults. Previously, Robinhood Earn offered yield on USDG through Morpho lending vaults at approximately 7% APY, a figure that fluctuates with market conditions.

Pendle splits the yield-bearing asset into principal and yield tokens, enabling users to secure a fixed return based on the rate at the time of purchase. USDG is backed 1:1 by USD reserves including short-term US Treasury securities and operates within the Global Dollar Network. This consortium includes Robinhood, Kraken, and other partners who receive a portion of the yield generated by the reserve assets.

The USDG market launched at the end of September 2026, following Pendle’s initial deployment on Robinhood Chain on September 4, 2026. This marks the protocol’s first fully fixed-yield offering within the Robinhood Chain ecosystem. The product addresses regulatory and transparency concerns by tying yield directly to US government debt returns. The six-month runway until March 2027 will serve as an indicator of demand for this fixed-income structure.

The 24-hour buy ratio stands at 46.1%, while the 1-hour ratio has dropped to 42.2%, indicating a short-term shift toward selling pressure. However, the 4-hour buy ratio is higher at 51.5%, suggesting that buying interest is stabilizing over a slightly longer timeframe. The 24-hour volume delta is negative at -$325,978, meaning more volume was sold than bought over the day. In contrast, the 4-hour volume delta is positive at +$10,697, showing net buying in the immediate recent past. Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 51.3%, making today’s 24-hour ratio of 46.1% notably lower by 5.2 percentage points. Spot volume today was 0.57x the weekly average, indicating a significant drop in trading activity compared to recent norms. While the coin saw net buying on 6 of the last 7 days, today’s metrics show a divergence from that consistent pattern. The 8-day volume delta was positive at +$1,151,113, but today’s negative delta suggests a reversal of that weekly trend. This represents an unusual day for the coin, characterized by lower volume and a shift away from the net buying dominance seen over the previous week.
