Bybit Lists nOPAL on RWA Earn, Expanding Institutional Access

Plume (PLUME) Editor: Eugene Serbin

manilatimes.net reports that Bybit has added nOPAL to its RWA Earn platform, deepening its institutional-grade asset offerings. The product, built on Brazilian credit card receivables, is managed by BlackOpal Finance and structured as a vault on the Plume open finance platform. Investors gain exposure to yield generated when merchants sell future receivables at a discount, with settlement handled by regulated acquirers through Visa and Mastercard networks.

Bybit hedges the BRL/USD exposure using non-deliverable forwards, ensuring returns are denominated in USD. Liquidity is actively maintained through a dedicated allocation including USCC liquidity, nTBILL, and cash. As of August 2026, nOPAL holds over $70 million in total value locked with a 30-day rolling yield of approximately 12%.

The strategy has purchased more than 7,000 receivables since November 2025 with zero defaults. Eligible users can subscribe with a minimum of 500 USDC, and a limited-time 5% APR launch boost is available. Jerry Li of Bybit noted that organic growth attests to strong user demand for real-world opportunities integrated on-chain. Chris Yin of Plume stated that nOPAL demonstrates what is possible when infrastructure changes to distribute institutional yield broadly.

Over the preceding week, PLUME averaged a 50.5% buy ratio, making today's 56.1% reading an unusual day with 5.6 points more buying pressure than the weekly average. While the daily volume was only 0.12 times the average, the price rose 7.0% over the eight-day period. This contrasts with the weekly Volume Delta of -$1,537,930, indicating that despite the price increase, more capital left the asset over the full week than entered it. Today's positive daily delta of +$355,718 stands in stark contrast to the broader weekly outflow. This suggests that while the asset is seeing recent buying interest, it remains in a net outflow phase compared to the previous week's trends.
