Ripple targets $13T corporate treasury market with RLUSD upgrades

Ripple USD (RLUSD) Editor: Eugene Serbin

cryptobriefing.com reports that Ripple has positioned its RLUSD stablecoin to access a $13 trillion pipeline of corporate payment volume. This opportunity stems from Ripple’s October 2025 acquisition of GTreasury, a platform that processed that volume in fiat last year. On April 1, 2026, Ripple introduced native Digital Asset Accounts and a Unified Treasury feature to the platform.

These upgrades allow CFOs to manage RLUSD and XRP alongside traditional currencies in a single dashboard with real-time valuations. The system connects to over 13,000 banks and serves more than 1,000 customers, including Fortune 500 firms. Ripple Treasury SVP Renaat Ver Eecke stated that “digital assets have reached the CFO’s desk,” highlighting benefits for liquidity management.

CEO Brad Garlinghouse described the $13 trillion payments flow as untapped territory for digital asset settlement. By September 10, 2026, RLUSD reached a market capitalization of approximately $2.42 billion. The stablecoin holds approvals from the New York Department of Financial Services and the Dubai Financial Services Authority.

Its reserves are custodied by BNY Mellon with monthly attestations and dual oversight. A survey cited by Ripple found that 72% of finance leaders view digital asset integration as essential for competitive advantage.
