Coinbase Burns 144M SHIB, Leading 30-Day Deflation

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Coinbase has become the largest burner of Shiba Inu tokens over the last 30 days, according to crypto-economy.com. The exchange destroyed 143,956,168 SHIB by sending them to inaccessible dead wallets. This volume accounts for nearly one-third of the total 418.66 million SHIB removed from circulation in that period.

The burns stem from transactions and trading fees on the platform. Every token sent to these wallets with no known private key is permanently removed from the circulating supply. In the last 24 hours, 68.29 million SHIB were burned, with Coinbase responsible for 47,419,390 of that amount.

The daily burn rate rose 154.33% according to Shibburn. Over the past seven days, the total burned reached 86.75 million. However, the weekly burn rate fell 22.29% compared to the previous week. All transactions are recorded on the blockchain for verification.
