Shiba Inu Ecosystem Rolls Out Infrastructure Upgrades

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bsc.news reports that the Shiba Inu ecosystem is undergoing a broad infrastructure overhaul across its layer-2 network and primary web properties. Developer Kaal Dhairya confirmed via community member Mazrael that the Shibarium reorganization issue has been resolved, with DRPC now completing the transition in the new environment. Node operators received a full peer rotation on September 15, 2026, replacing old Bor static-nodes and Heimdall persistent_peers with entirely new IP sets.

The Shibarium RPC listing was updated in the ethereum-lists/chains registry after community member Mazrael opened GitHub Pull Request 8699 to correct outdated connection details. Shibariumscan is currently reindexing the chain, with 53% of blocks processed to rebuild the explorer's database from the underlying blockchain. On September 12, 2026, the shib.io website and ShibaSwap migrated to Cloudflare, gaining IPv6 support and improved traffic management.

Documentation at doc.shib.io also moved to the new hosting environment during these changes. Mazrael noted the environment rebuild is further along than it appears externally. This work follows Shibarium surpassing one billion cumulative transactions in April 2025, with over 194 million addresses recorded at that time.

Whalio's spot data for SHIB shows a mixed immediate trading picture with a 1-hour buy ratio of 44.3% against a 4-hour ratio of 55.2%. The 24-hour buy ratio sits at 50.2%, indicating that buying pressure is roughly balanced but slightly tilted toward sellers in the shortest timeframe.
