Shiba Inu Veteran Says ETF Progress Is On Track

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bitcoinethereumnews.com reports that Shiba Inu lacks a dedicated US spot ETF but is advancing through other regulated channels. Community member Mazrael stated the asset is "well on track" despite the absence of a direct fund. He pointed to T. Rowe Price’s TKNZ ETF, approved by the SEC in June 2026, which can hold SHIB among five to fifteen active crypto assets.

The fund launched with eight coins, excluding SHIB, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin. In Japan, Laser Digital completed registration to operate as a crypto asset exchange provider under the Payment Services Act. SHIB is among the six assets listed by this Nomura subsidiary.

European traders can now access Valour SHIB ETP. Additionally, Coinbase launched regulated futures for SHIB for eligible Canadian clients. Mazrael summarized the landscape as having one European ETP, one US ETF capable of holding it, and regulated spot access in Japan. He noted that while Doge secured dedicated spot ETFs first, SHIB’s path involves commodity classification and futures expansion.
