Temple Wearable Launches as Deepinder Goyal Challenges Whoop with Head-Mounted Tracker
esquireindia.co.in reports that Deepinder Goyal has introduced Temple, a new wearable that diverges from traditional wrist-based fitness trackers by mounting to the side of the head. Unlike the Whoop 5.0 which uses a strap-and-battery setup, Temple utilizes single-use adhesive grips that users swap every two to three days. The device tracks brain blood flow via its BrainFlow system and measures a metric called Entropy, which ranges from 1 for deep rest to 250 for peak physical output.
In contrast, Whoop 5.0 focuses on heart-rate variability, respiratory rate, and skin temperature to generate Recovery and Strain scores. Temple is launching in six colours with pre-orders expected soon, while Whoop offers both One and Peak versions with specific pricing. Goyal claims the adhesive grips withstand workouts, showers, and swimming, though scuba diving is an exception.
The Economic Times reported Temple’s price could range between Rs 75,000 and Rs 80,000. Whoop 5.0 One costs Rs 21,990 and the Peak version is Rs 28,990, both including a 12-month membership. Goyal noted that a future version might read intent to open apps, though that technology is likely years away.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for STX, measured when this story was written up on 7 October 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
STX is currently trading at $0.3844 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 41.4% and a 4-hour buy ratio of 40.0%, indicating that selling pressure is currently outweighing buying interest in the short term. This contrasts with the 24-hour buy ratio of 53.0%, suggesting that the recent influx of buyers has weakened over the last few hours. The 1-hour volume delta is -$120,813 and the 4-hour delta is -$252,511, showing that more capital is leaving the market than entering it during these periods. The Cumulative Volume Delta for the 24-hour close is -$150,665, confirming that net selling has dominated the day's activity despite a higher overall buy ratio. This means that while more individual trades were buys, the larger trades were likely sells, driving the price down.
The latest daily buy ratio of 53.8% sits at the 79th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 50.8% - stronger buying than most days.
Was that an ordinary day?
The same Binance spot measurements for STX, averaged over the days leading up to the story.
Over the preceding week, STX saw a 7-day average buy ratio of 53.2%, which is slightly higher than the current 24-hour ratio of 53.0%. The coin experienced a price change of +21.3% over eight days, with a total volume delta of +$1,133,845. Today's spot volume of $1,406,178 is significantly lower than the weekly average, trading at just 0.33 times the usual volume. This indicates that while the trend remains bullish with seven consecutive days of net buying, the current day is unusually quiet compared to the recent activity. The market is consolidating after a strong weekly performance, with reduced volume suggesting a pause in the upward momentum.
