Canary launches TRXS ETF on Cboe BZX with staking rewards

TRON (TRX) Editor: Eugene Serbin

cryptobriefing.com reports that Canary Capital launched the Canary Staked TRX ETF, trading under the ticker TRXS, on the Cboe BZX Exchange on September 9, 2026. This product offers direct exposure to TRON’s native token while automatically collecting staking rewards from the network. The fund holds TRX directly rather than using derivatives, targeting approximately 90% staking of eligible holdings under normal conditions.

Staking rewards accrue to the net asset value, causing share value to grow without separate payouts. Investors pay a 1.10% annual sponsor fee and the fund retains 80% of staking rewards after a 20% cap on fees. TRON DAO and founder Justin Sun marked the listing by ringing Cboe’s closing bell in Chicago on September 29, 2026.

At the time of debut, TRX had a market capitalization of around $32.1 billion. The network supports over $94 billion in circulating USDT and has processed trillions in transfer volume. This follows a June 2026 listing on Bitnomial, giving traders a regulated venue before this brokerage-accessible fund. The ETF aims to fit into existing compliance frameworks for institutions barred from direct crypto holdings.

Whalio data shows TRX trading at $0.3355 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 42.8%, indicating that less than half of trades were buys. This contrasts with the 1-hour buy ratio of 16.5% and the 4-hour ratio of 28.5%, suggesting buying pressure is currently fading relative to the recent hour. The 24-hour volume delta is -$3,127,375, meaning sell volume exceeded buy volume by this amount over the day. A negative volume delta indicates that sellers were more aggressive than buyers during this period. Only 8 out of 24 hours saw net buying, highlighting a predominantly bearish flow today.

The latest daily buy ratio of 49.7% sits at the 33rd percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 52.4% - ordinary for this coin.
