Uniswap Protocol Fees Surge on Robinhood Chain Activity

Uniswap (UNI) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bsc.news reports that Uniswap collected approximately $7.8 million in protocol fees from Robinhood Chain during September 2026, marking its largest single revenue source. This figure represents 53% of the protocol's total monthly income of $14.7 million, with Robinhood Chain contributing over half of the revenue between September 1 and 23. The chain's fee structure allows Uniswap to charge 0.465% per trade compared to a global average of 0.214%, driving higher yields per dollar traded.

On September 1, $1.75 billion of the chain's $1.95 billion volume flowed through Uniswap pools, directly boosting fee revenue. Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet on July 1, 2026, as an Arbitrum Layer 2, quickly accumulating $1.03 billion in total value locked by early October. The fee windfall has accelerated the burn rate of $UNI tokens under the Unification proposal, which routes fees to third parties who burn UNI to claim revenue.

Protocol revenue jumped from $114,000 to $325,000 per day after fees were activated on the chain. Despite per-transaction fees falling 97% to under 3 cents by mid-September, weekly DEX volume remained healthy near $12 to $13 billion.

Uniswap (UNI) is trading at $9.08 with a 24-hour spot volume of $48,243,372 across 197,916 trades. The 24-hour buy ratio stands at 51.3%, indicating a slight edge for buyers over the full day, while the 1-hour and 4-hour buy ratios are significantly higher at 57.8% and 58.5% respectively. This suggests that buying pressure is building in the most recent hours compared to the daily average. The Volume Delta for the 24-hour period is +$1,243,576, meaning cumulative buying volume exceeded selling volume by that amount. In the last hour, the Volume Delta is +$252,781, showing immediate net inflow. The Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) at 24-hour close is +$3,249,043, confirming sustained net buying pressure over the day. Net buying occurred for 18 out of the last 24 hours, indicating consistent demand.

Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 50.3%, making the current 24-hour ratio of 51.3% only 0.9 points higher than the weekly norm. This indicates that today's buying intensity is only marginally above the recent average. However, the 24-hour spot volume of $48,243,372 is just 0.74x the weekly average, suggesting that despite the higher buy ratio, overall trading activity is lighter than usual. The 8-day price change was +3.1%, with a total Volume Delta of +$1,949,278 for the week. While buying pressure has slightly outpaced the weekly average, the lower volume relative to the norm suggests this is a relatively quiet day for the coin compared to its typical weekly activity.
