Cardano's ODATANO targets SAP enterprise ecosystem

Cardano (ADA) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Lookonchain.com reports that Cardano developers have unveiled ODATANO, a new integration tool designed for the SAP enterprise environment. The project encapsulates the Cardano blockchain into a standard OData V4 API, allowing SAP developers to connect to Cardano without needing deep expertise in underlying blockchain technologies. Founder Maximilian explained that traditional SAP developers typically must master complex elements like the UTxO model, transaction construction, and CBOR serialization to interact with the chain.

ODATANO handles these operations in a service layer, supporting 31 entities for data reading, transaction signing, and submission. The tool can run as an SAP CAP plugin or be deployed independently. It supports queries for blocks, addresses, UTxOs, assets, and protocol parameters.

Maximilian highlighted reference applications built on ODATANO, including TRACE, QUANTIX, FINCA, and x402. QUANTIX, an oracle-based B2B procurement app, recently won the 2026 Charli3 Oracle Hackathon. The project received funding through Cardano Catalyst Fund 14 and is currently developed solely by Maximilian. It has completed 1,285 automated tests with a code statement coverage rate of 99%.
