Avalanche outperforms BTC and ETH on RWA demand
Tradersunion.com reports that Avalanche is outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum following a recovery above $8, signaling a short-term rotation into select altcoins. Hanwha Investment & Securities, a major South Korean brokerage, has completed a tokenized securities platform supporting Avalanche, developed jointly with FairSquare Lab since 2025. This infrastructure also supports Hyperledger Besu ahead of regulatory changes in South Korea, where distributed ledger technology will officially be recognized for securities recordkeeping from February 4, 2027.
AVAX gained more than 6% on September 7 while Bitcoin remained little changed, and held near $8 on September 8 as BTC and ETH dropped around 1%. The token broke above psychological resistance at $7 and accelerated to $8.32 before correcting back toward $7 and pushing higher toward the 200-day SMA. Resistance at $8.20 is currently capping further upside, increasing the probability of a short-term pullback toward $7.60.
A daily close below the 200-day SMA near $8.06 would confirm a bearish setup and materially increase the likelihood of that move. The base case scenario through the end of the current trading week remains a pullback unless there is a decisive move above $8.20. AVAX’s main advantage is its ability to advance when Bitcoin and Ethereum provide little support to the broader market. The move now faces a major macro test with PPI due on September 10, CPI on September 11, and the Fed decision on September 16.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for AVAX, measured when this story was written up on 8 September 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
At $8.08, AVAX shows a 46.0% buy ratio over the last hour, which is lower than the 58.3% ratio over the past four hours. This indicates that short-term buying pressure is fading compared to the broader four-hour trend. The 24-hour buy ratio sits at 53.5%, suggesting a slight majority of trades are buys over the full day. Volume delta is negative -$122,835 in the last hour, meaning sell volume exceeded buy volume recently. However, the 4-hour volume delta is positive +$762,058, showing that buying pressure has been stronger over that longer timeframe. The 24-hour volume delta is +$2,680,747, confirming that net buying has dominated the day so far.
The latest daily buy ratio of 49.4% sits at the 51st percentile of the last 324 days, against a median of 49.3% - ordinary for this coin.

This contrasts with the current 24-hour net buying of +$2,680,747, showing consistent but varying intensity. The price rose 11.7% over the 8-day period, reflecting sustained upward momentum.
