Alameda transfers $1.92M BTC as Bitcoin tests $79k resistance

Bitcoin (BTC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

ambcrypto.com reports that Alameda’s $1.92 million Bitcoin transfer is testing market resilience. Three years after the FTX/Alameda complex’s Bitcoin was seized, a small portion has changed hands for the second time. Arkham Intelligence tracked the movement, while Lookonchain highlighted that the “FTX Alameda Seized Funds” wallet sent 24.41 BTC to another address.

This re-entry into circulation provokes frenzies regarding the broader market’s future. Technically, Bitcoin is poised to close August in green, ending a four-year streak of negative monthly returns. The cryptocurrency rallied 25% this month, delivering its best monthly ROI since the 2017 cycle.

Institutional demand remains strong, with ETFs recording $232 million in net inflows on August 26. This marked the eighth straight day of inflows, pushing total monthly flows above $3 billion. Bitcoin recently rebounded nearly 23% from last week’s lows to test the $78k level.

Despite short selling activity, Bitcoin’s dominance remains above the 60% level, highlighting its relative strength. The source suggests increased FOMO could offset selling pressure, potentially turning the Alameda move into a bullish inflection point.
