Bitcoin ETFs Extend Outflow Streak as Ether Funds Surge

Bitcoin (BTC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

news.bitcoin.com reports that U.S. Bitcoin ETFs posted a fourth consecutive day of outflows on Friday, losing $13.29 million. Ether funds moved in the opposite direction, attracting $216.41 million in net inflows and closing a fourth consecutive week with positive flows. Blackrock’s IBIT recorded a $19.23 million outflow, which outweighed fresh demand from Morgan Stanley’s MSBT, which added $3.76 million, and Vaneck’s HODL, which added $2.18 million.

Total Bitcoin ETF trading value reached $2.60 billion, with net assets closing at $97.58 billion after a cumulative week of $462.73 million in outflows. Ether ETFs saw their strongest move with Blackrock’s ETHA leading with $148.82 million, while Bitwise’s ETHW added $29.09 million. BlackRock’s ETHB attracted $18.32 million, Fidelity’s FETH brought in $11.40 million, and Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust and Vaneck’s ETHV added $5.09 million and $3.71 million respectively.

The surge pushed Ether ETFs to roughly $197 million in weekly net inflows, extending their winning streak to four weeks. HYPE ETFs lost $8.18 million, Solana ETFs slipped by $278,840, and XRP ETFs recorded no net flows. August CPI rose 0.4% from July, with annual inflation holding at 3.4% and core inflation easing to 2.4%. With no clear dovish catalyst, the path back above $80,000 may depend on softer economic data or a more supportive signal from the Federal Reserve.
