Bitcoin (BTC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bitcoinethereumnews.com reports that Bitcoin traded near $79,826 on September 6, remaining below the $82,000 resistance area after failing to hold a move above $80,000. The price stayed within a broad recovery range established after August’s advance, with analysts watching for a reclaim of $82,000 or a loss of support near $78,500. TradingView data showed an intraday high near $80,106 and a low around $79,600 before a modest recovery, while Binance data placed BTC at $80,067.44 earlier in the day.

Kaz noted that Sunday sessions often produce short-lived volatility before regular liquidity returns, expecting an intraday move before Monday’s Asia session. Fibonacci retracement levels identified initial downside support near $76,915, with deeper levels around $74,106 and $71,835. Mister Crypto stated that Bitcoin remained below the $74,000-$82,000 resistance zone and that a weekly close above that area would improve the broader structure.

CryptoQuant contributor CryptoOnchain reported average exchange netflows of +593 BTC daily over seven sessions, a 132% increase from the previous week. Binance absorbed an average of +1,148 BTC daily during that period, while Coinbase showed average outflows of 357 BTC daily. CryptoOnchain also recorded a +$22.1 million daily average for Binance stablecoin netflows, indicating larger purchasing capacity alongside additional BTC supply. PerpFinder’s Deribit data showed $168.7 million of Bitcoin options open interest expiring on September 6, with put-to-call open interest near 0.99.

Whalio’s Binance spot data shows BTC trading at $80,341.83 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 48.3% and a 4-hour buy ratio of 48.2%, both slightly below the 24-hour ratio of 47.6%. Volume delta indicates selling pressure, with -$1,415,960 in the last hour and -$4,050,521 over four hours, compared to a 24-hour delta of -$34,221,859. The buy ratio measures the proportion of buy volume relative to total volume, while volume delta tracks the net difference between buy and sell volume. A negative volume delta suggests that sell volume has exceeded buy volume during these periods. Despite this, the 24-hour CVD closed positive at +$27,346,074, showing that cumulative buying pressure has outweighed selling over the full day. Spot volume for the 24-hour period reached $707,422,224 across 1,658,245 trades.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.7% sits at the 18th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - weaker buying than most days.

Over the preceding week, the 7-day average buy ratio was 50.3%, meaning the current 24-hour ratio of 47.6% is 2.7 percentage points lower than the weekly average. Volume over the last day was 0.63x the weekly average, indicating significantly reduced trading activity compared to the prior week’s norm. This week saw net buying on only 4 of 7 days, contrasting with the 24-hour snapshot where buying pressure has been mixed. The price change over the 8-day period was +3.4%, with a total volume delta of +$87,028,216 for the week. This suggests that while short-term pressure is fading relative to the week’s average, the broader weekly trend remains positive.
