Cuentas Announces West Texas Energy Recovery, Bitcoin Mining and Bitcoin Mobile Strategy

Bitcoin (BTC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

manilatimes.net reports that Cuentas, Inc. (OTCQB: CUEN) has entered a Power-as-a-Service and Colocation Services Agreement with Power Upp USA, Inc. (PWRU) for a Bitcoin mining operation in West Texas. The project utilizes electricity generated from methane and associated gas produced during oil-field operations, aiming to turn stranded energy into productive power. Phase 1 involves one containerized mining unit with approximately 2.4 megawatts of contracted power and 420 operational ASIC miners.

At a current average BTC price over $86,000, Phase 1 is projected to yield approximately 1.5 BTC per month, generating roughly $130,000 in monthly revenue. The company estimates a monthly profit of up to $43,000, which will subsidize its Bitcoin Mobile wireless service and cybersecurity offerings. Phase 2 plans to scale to ten containerized units with 24 megawatts of capacity and 4,200 operational ASIC miners, potentially producing $1.3 million in monthly revenue.

CEO Shalom Arik Maimon stated, "We believe this project represents an exciting opportunity to connect energy recovery, digital infrastructure and our telecommunications strategy." Power Upp USA CEO Matt Inan added that the agreement reflects the value of pairing scalable power infrastructure with flexible colocation services for digital-asset applications.

Bitcoin is trading at $86,208.56 on Binance, with a 1-hour buy ratio of 42.7% and a 4-hour buy ratio of 50.5%, contrasting with a 24-hour buy ratio of 44.5%. The 1-hour volume delta is negative at -$5,148,363, while the 4-hour delta is positive at +$3,178,031, indicating short-term selling pressure offset by recent buying. The 24-hour volume delta stands at -$202,961,059, and the Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) for the 24-hour close is -$122,069,500. A negative volume delta means that sell volume exceeded buy volume over that period, suggesting net outflow from spot markets. Net buying occurred for only 10 of the last 24 hours, showing that selling pressure dominated the majority of the trading day.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.7% sits at the 18th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - weaker buying than most days.
