CZ Forecasts Bitcoin Will Eclipse Gold's Dominance in Upcoming Bull Cycle

Bitcoin (BTC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bitcoinethereumnews.com reported that Changpeng Zhao, founder of Binance, declared Bitcoin is poised to surpass gold’s dominance during the next major bull market. Speaking at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference in Hong Kong, Zhao outlined his vision in a keynote titled “The Bitcoin Century.” He noted that the valuation gap between gold and Bitcoin has narrowed to a 10x multiple, with gold valued near $32.4 trillion and Bitcoin at approximately $1.6 trillion. Zhao stated, “Bitcoin will undoubtedly become more significant than gold,” suggesting this shift could occur in the near future.

He identified the primary obstacle as the extensive infrastructure nations have built around gold over generations, rather than Bitcoin’s capabilities. Zhao revealed he advises governments on cryptocurrency reserves, recommending an allocation of 50% Bitcoin and 10% to 20% Ethereum. He also connected Bitcoin’s trajectory to artificial intelligence, predicting AI agents will adopt cryptocurrency for transactions after integrating stablecoins. Zhao suggested Bitcoin could reach $1 million faster than expected, though he emphasized widespread adoption in payment networks and pension portfolios as the ultimate goal.
