bitcoinethereumnews.com reports that Smarter Web Company announced Jesse Myers will depart as Head of Bitcoin Strategy on September 1. The company provided no explanation for his exit and did not name a successor or detail how his duties will be redistributed. Myers previously held an operational role responsible for executing the Bitcoin treasury strategy and tracking its performance.

He also managed data analytics, investor relations, and efforts to improve Bitcoin held per share. Smarter Web Company confirmed its Bitcoin Treasury Policy remains unchanged, with the board continuing direct oversight. It maintains a £18.5 million credit facility from Coinbase, representing 17% leverage against its holdings at a 6% variable interest rate. On July 23, the company sold 177.89 BTC to repay $11.7 million tied to a financing tool called Smarter Convert. Shares fell 5.8% to 33.20 pence on August 25 following the departure notice, though a direct link to Myers’ exit remains unconfirmed. CEO Andrew Webley thanked Myers for his work and stated the company remains focused on its strategy.
