Bitwise Liquidates DOGE ETF as Remittix PayFi Tests Begin

Dogecoin (DOGE) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Techbullion.com reports that Bitwise is closing its BWOW Dogecoin ETF, with October 14 set as the final trading day for the fund. The announcement confirms that BWOW will be liquidated, and remaining shareholders will receive cash payouts after trading ends. This move removes one specific US stock-market access point for DOGE but does not affect the broader network or all investment products.

Dogecoin retains its large retail following and exchange liquidity, which can still drive rallies independent of fund flows. Meanwhile, Remittix is advancing its PayFi product, inviting 1,000 existing RTX holders to test EUR and USD crypto-to-bank options. The platform has recorded over 10,000 iOS wallet downloads and more than $50 million in cumulative Markets trading volume.

Remittix aims to solve recurring payment problems by connecting digital balances to bank money through compatible routes. The project has raised over $32 million toward a $36 million cap from more than 40,000 presale participants. RTX holders are testing these initial payment features as the November 24 launch approaches.

The final presale tier is priced at $0.46, aiming to build a user base that uses the ecosystem regularly. This utility-driven demand contrasts with the ETF closure, which showed that new investment wrappers do not guarantee lasting buyer waves. The success of RTX will depend on whether the platform can retain customers after the initial launch excitement fades.

Whalio spot data shows DOGE trading at $0.08904 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 43.7%, indicating that sellers are currently dominating the market. The 1-hour and 4-hour buy ratios are slightly lower at 43.3% and 43.8% respectively, suggesting that short-term buying pressure is not building and may be fading. Volume delta reflects this imbalance, with a negative $205,785 in the last hour and -$615,861 over four hours. Over the past 24 hours, the volume delta stands at -$14,193,047, confirming sustained selling pressure. Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) closed at -$17,981,628, meaning net selling has outweighed buying significantly. Net buying occurred for only 1 out of the last 24 hours, highlighting a lack of consistent buyer interest.

The latest daily buy ratio of 37.6% sits at the 0th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 48.9% - among the weakest buying days it has had.

Comparing today's activity to the preceding week reveals a shift in market dynamics. The 7-day average buy ratio was 48.1%, making today's 43.7% reading 4.4 percentage points lower than the weekly norm. Volume has spiked to 1.78 times the average, with 24-hour spot volume reaching $114,362,666. This elevated volume combined with a lower buy ratio suggests an unusual day characterized by increased distribution rather than accumulation. Over the past eight days, the volume delta totaled -$30,518,613, and the price has dropped 5.8%. While net buying occurred on 4 of the last 7 days, the current 24-hour data points to a more bearish immediate trend than the weekly average suggests.
