Dogecoin Golden Cross Signals Potential Reversal After 14 Months

Dogecoin (DOGE) Editor: Eugene Serbin

DigitalToday reports that Dogecoin has formed a daily chart golden cross for the first time in 14 months. The 50-day moving average crossed above the 200-day moving average on October 5, marking a technical reversal signal. This specific signal is notable because it appeared on the daily timeframe rather than shorter intervals.

The previous daily golden cross occurred in August 2025, preceding a rise to $0.30 before a death cross in November. Following a severe downturn and a $20 billion market selloff, Dogecoin hit a low of $0.06 in mid-August 2026. It has since cleared key resistance levels, moving above both the daily 50-day and 200-day moving averages.

Utility expansion efforts include DogeOS launching a public testnet for Ethereum-style transactions and lending. Metallicus also introduced DogecoinVM, a ledger on the Metal blockchain that processes Dogecoin 300 times faster with instant finality. The asset must break above $0.095 and $0.098 to test the $0.106 resistance level. A break above $0.106 could target price zones at $0.12 and $0.16.
