Hedera adds WISeKey and SpaceDev to its partner network
bsc.news reports that Hedera's governing council has expanded its partner network by naming WISeKey as its fourth Strategic Partner and SpaceDev as its eighth Community Partner. WISeKey brings expertise in cybersecurity, digital identity, IoT solutions, and post-quantum secure semiconductor technology to the network. The collaboration aims to combine WISeKey's capabilities with Hedera's distributed ledger to accelerate trusted digital ecosystems and machine-to-machine transactions.
A key focus is the SEALCOIN platform, which enables the autonomous exchange of verified data secured by post-quantum cryptography. Earlier this year, WISeKey, The Hashgraph Group, and Hedera launched the QAIT Q-Day Security Assessment Platform to help enterprises mitigate quantum computing risks. SpaceDev, headquartered in Miami with offices in Uruguay, Argentina, and Colombia, joins as a Community Partner with experience in energy, fintech, and web3 infrastructure.
The firm previously partnered with the Blockchain for Energy consortium to build a tokenization platform on Hedera for carbon-capture initiatives. This platform replaces manual workflows with a standardized pipeline to track and verify carbon emissions using distributed ledger technology, AI, and IoT. These partnerships leverage industry leaders to drive real-world adoption of secure, decentralized infrastructure.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for HBAR, measured when this story was written up on 4 September 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
Whalio data shows HBAR trading at $0.07928 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 55.4%, indicating that buyers controlled more than half of the volume over the day. However, the 1-hour buy ratio spiked to 64.9%, while the 4-hour ratio dropped to 48.9%, suggesting that short-term buying pressure is currently fading after a brief surge. The 1-hour volume delta was positive at $40,304, contrasting with a negative $56,017 delta over the past 4 hours, which reflects recent selling pressure. Over the full 24 hours, the volume delta remained strongly positive at $1,066,753, with a cumulative volume delta of $213,035 at close. This indicates that despite recent intraday volatility, net buying has dominated the day's activity overall.
The latest daily buy ratio of 53.0% sits at the 93rd percentile of the last 281 days, against a median of 48.8% - among the strongest buying days it has had.
Was that an ordinary day?
The same Binance spot measurements for HBAR, averaged over the days leading up to the story.
Over the preceding week, HBAR maintained a 7-day average buy ratio of 52.6%, with today's reading sitting 2.7 points above that average. The coin saw 6 out of 7 days of net buying, with a total volume delta of $4,078,872 over eight days. Today's spot volume of $9,908,248 was 1.60 times the weekly average, marking an unusually active trading day. The price change over the eight-day period was modest at +0.7%, despite the elevated volume. This suggests that while participation is significantly higher than usual, the sustained buying has not yet translated into major price appreciation.
