Hedera Donates CLPR Protocol to Linux Foundation

Hedera (HBAR) Editor: Eugene Serbin

crypto-economy.com reports that Hedera has donated its Cross-Ledger Protocol (CLPR) to the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT). This contribution transitions the interoperability architecture into a neutral development environment. The protocol, designed by Hashgraph, uses direct cryptographic state proofs to connect independent distributed ledgers.

Unlike models relying on external bridges, CLPR mitigates exploit risks and removes the need for custodial liquidity locks. Daniela Barbosa of LFDT stated that integrating CLPR as a foundation lab leverages open development to shape a neutral protocol. The codebase is now available in the LFDT Labs catalog for external developers to audit and deploy.

Hedera co-founder Dr. Leemon Baird noted this release coincides with the two-year anniversary of Hedera joining LFDT as a Premier Member. Alongside the code release, Hashgraph launched the Cross-Ledger Early Adopter Program for financial institutions and fintech firms. Participating teams will receive technical support to run trials on a testnet hosted by Hashgraph.

The pilot program targets settlement across ledgers, cross-border payments, and collateral transfers. The next step involves an open architectural deep dive where maintainers will present governance standards.

HBAR is trading at $0.09050 on Binance spot markets. Short-term buying pressure is evident, with the 1-hour buy ratio at 57.9% and the 4-hour ratio at 54.3%, both exceeding the 48.1% recorded over the past 24 hours. Positive volume deltas of $73,291 and $257,133 in the 1-hour and 4-hour windows indicate active accumulation during these periods. However, the 24-hour volume delta remains negative at -$925,624, suggesting that longer-term selling pressure has outweighed recent buying. The cumulative volume delta (CVD) for the 24-hour period closed at +$579,319, showing that net buying occurred for 16 of the last 24 hours. This divergence between short-term inflows and the daily outflow suggests a shift in momentum toward the close of the trading day.

The latest daily buy ratio of 52.0% sits at the 84th percentile of the last 323 days, against a median of 49.2% - stronger buying than most days.
