Hedera Scaffold Template Launches AI Agent Passport on Testnet

Hedera (HBAR) Editor: Eugene Serbin

dev.to reported the release of a new scaffold template for Hedera that simplifies blockchain onboarding. The project, titled Scaffold-HBAR, allows developers to generate an AI-agent passport with a single command. This tool creates an ERC-721 passport NFT and an append-only event log on the Hedera testnet.

It includes a Hono API, a small UI, and verifiable transactions accessible via Hashscan. The template was submitted for the Hedira Scaffold-HBAR Template Bounty to demonstrate non-trivial utility. It aims to reduce the time spent fighting account models and keys during initial setup.

The system uses two contracts, AgentPassportNFT and AgentEventLog, with mirror nodes handling free reads. Developers can verify every transaction claim directly through linked Hashscan pages. The team plans to wire these passport contracts into the AgentBadge server as a second chain alongside Arc. This design ensures the passport format remains identical across both chains.

Whalio data shows HBAR trading at $0.1024 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 53.9%, indicating short-term bullish sentiment. This contrasts with a 4-hour buy ratio of 44.8%, suggesting that immediate buying pressure is fading compared to the broader four-hour window. Over the last 24 hours, the buy ratio sits at 51.3%, showing a near-even split between buyers and sellers. The volume delta for the hour is positive at $54,199, while the 4-hour delta is negative at -$191,571. This divergence implies that recent trades are favoring buyers, but the trend over the last four hours has been net selling. CVD closed at -$99,500 for the day, confirming that sell pressure has outweighed buy pressure over the full 24-hour period.

The latest daily buy ratio of 49.3% sits at the 50th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - ordinary for this coin.

Over the preceding week, HBAR saw a 7.0% price increase, though volume was only 0.40 times the average. The 7-day average buy ratio was 49.7%, which is slightly lower than the current 24-hour reading of 51.3%. Net buying occurred on only 2 of the 7 days, and the total volume delta for the week was -$6,167,615. This indicates that despite the price rise, the week was characterized by net outflows and inconsistent buying interest. The current 24-hour volume of $23,028,998 reflects a moderate level of activity relative to the low weekly average. This suggests that today's trading activity is not exceptionally high compared to the recent weekly norm.
