Injective CEO expects US INJ ETF before 2027

Injective (INJ) Editor: Eugene Serbin

tradersunion.com reports that Injective is advancing its institutional infrastructure to broaden market access as U.S. applications for an INJ ETF move through regulatory channels. Chief Executive Eric Chen stated at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 that he expects the U.S. ETF launch to occur before 2027, a timeline he considers sooner than previously anticipated. This outlook is supported by Injective Institutional Services becoming an SEC-registered transfer agent in August, a status that allows the entity to maintain ownership records for securities.

Chen also highlighted the Meridian upgrade, released on September 24 following a governance vote, which aims to help clients transition from pilot projects to live on-chain tokenization with compliance controls. In Europe, the company has finalized and submitted a Markets in Crypto-Assets white paper for the INJ token, which is listed in the European Securities and Markets Authority's interim register. While securing a regional license is progressing slowly, Injective is collaborating with firms that already hold licenses to prepare collaborations with large financial institutions.

Chen identified private markets as a key opportunity for tokenized real-world assets, noting that blockchain structures can compress processes that traditionally take months in conventional finance. This reduction in intermediation helps transform assets into liquid investment instruments more efficiently.
