Bottomline Launches Global Pay Connect With Chainlink

Chainlink (LINK) Editor: Eugene Serbin

crypto-economy.com reports that Bottomline has launched Global Pay Connect, a new platform connecting financial institutions to onchain payment networks using Chainlink infrastructure. The service extends blockchain connectivity to more than 600 bank customers while allowing institutions to maintain familiar payment systems and messaging standards. The platform combines Bottomline’s established connectivity with Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol and Chainlink Runtime Environment.

CCIP enables value and data to move between blockchain networks, while CRE coordinates workflows across onchain and traditional financial infrastructure. This approach allows banks to connect blockchain settlement to existing payment operations instead of building separate integrations for every network. Institutions can continue relying on established messaging standards such as ISO 20022 while blockchain activity operates alongside their existing systems.

Bottomline is described as one of the top Swift service providers, with platforms processing more than $16 trillion in payments annually. The partnership builds on Chainlink’s wider push into institutional financial infrastructure, positioning interoperability as a key layer for connecting blockchains with banks. For Chainlink, the Bottomline integration gives CCIP and CRE exposure to a large existing financial network. The launch gives Chainlink another connection to traditional payment infrastructure and strengthens its role as an interoperability layer for institutional blockchain activity.

The volume delta shows positive net buying, with +$22,676 in the last hour, +$67,162 over four hours, and +$455,314 over 24 hours. Volume delta measures the difference between buy and sell volume, so positive figures mean buyers are aggressively absorbing sell orders.
