Chainlink Powers Bottomline's $16T Bank Payment Network
cryptowisser.com reports that Chainlink announced via X on Thursday that Bottomline has launched Global Pay Connect, a new onchain payment connectivity platform for over 600 banks. Bottomline is a top-three SWIFT service provider that moves over $16 trillion in payments annually. Chainlink extends this platform to blockchain networks through secure interoperability and orchestration infrastructure.
CCIP connects Bottomline's payments infrastructure to blockchain networks through a single, network-agnostic integration model. CRE coordinates end-to-end payment workflows across onchain and offchain systems. As a result, institutions can reach onchain payment rails through the SWIFT network and payment messaging standards they already use.
This allows them to do so without replatforming or building a bespoke integration for every network. Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform powering the majority of decentralized finance. The LINK token is used to pay for platform services and secure the network’s proper functioning. LINK is up 5% over the past 24 hours, trading at $11.71.
