Weekly order flow: $132.5M of net buying, but $79.4M of net selling once stablecoins are stripped out

Bitcoin (BTC) Whalio analysis Editor: Eugene Serbin

Whalio tracked taker flow across 146 Binance spot markets, recording net buying of $132.5M for the week ending 27 September 2026. The previous week had seen net selling of $272.6M. Turnover totalled $60.61bn, compared with $51.76bn previously.

The headline figure and the underlying market structure point in opposite directions. Dollar-pegged pairs recorded +$204.7M on $20.5bn of turnover, while gold-backed tokens contributed +$7.2M.

Excluding these, the remaining 138 markets were net sellers of $79.4M on $39.85bn of turnover. The negative headline figure is thus driven by stablecoins; the other coins moved in the opposite direction.

Breadth data shows that 126 of the 145 coins measured finished the week higher.

The markets attracting the most net buying were USDC at $219.9M; Ripple USD at $96.9M; Solana at $84.9M alongside a price gain of 9.73%; and Zcash at $57.8M with a price gain of 5.19%.

The markets experiencing the most net selling were Bitcoin at $438.3M despite a price gain of 4.06%; World Liberty Financial USD at $146.8M; Ethereum at $29.5M with a price gain of 1.64%; and BNB at $12.5M against a price gain of 0.82%.

These figures apply to Binance spot markets only. Taker flow indicates which side crossed the spread, not necessarily money entering or leaving the asset class. The data does not capture futures, options, or trading activity away from this order book.

Net flow is the sum of every trade that lifted an offer minus every trade that hit a bid, counted in dollars across the 146 Binance spot markets Whalio tracks. Stablecoin pairs are reported separately because flow there is one dollar token being rotated into another, which is not the same thing as risk being taken or cut.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.7% sits at the 18th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - weaker buying than most days.
