Nexo launches dual-mode crypto card with borrowing and spending features

Nexo (NEXO) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Traders Union reports that Nexo has introduced a dual-mode crypto card accessible through its mobile application. The card allows users to spend digital or fiat assets directly in Debit Mode or borrow fiat against crypto holdings without selling in Credit Mode. Cardholders can earn up to 2% crypto cashback on purchases made in Credit Mode, depending on their Loyalty Tier.

Unspent balances accrue interest at rates of up to 13% annually, varying by region. The card is accepted globally on the Mastercard network and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. Users can customize asset spending priority and enjoy fee-free ATM withdrawals within set limits.

Security features include instant card freezes and biometric locks. In Argentina, new clients receive 10% cashback on their first use and fee-free foreign transactions. Corporate accounts are not eligible, but personal users can activate a virtual card or order a physical one via the app. Nexo, established in 2018, integrates custodial services, exchange functionality, and crypto-backed lending within a single ecosystem.
