Nexo report finds friction blocks crypto wealth integration
Traders Union reports that Nexo has released findings from its Crypto Integration Index, revealing that operational friction is the primary barrier preventing high-net-worth individuals from integrating cryptocurrency into their wealth plans. The survey of 1,000 affluent investors across the US, UK, and Argentina shows that while two-thirds already hold crypto, less than 5% have achieved high integration levels. Concerns regarding security, high fees, and platform complexity are cited as the main obstacles rather than a lack of conviction.
The report, titled 'The Future of Digital Wealth 2026', indicates that the average integration score remains moderate among these investors. Nexo’s US COO discussed these insights and the company's efforts to address these barriers during a recent podcast appearance. Established in 2018, Nexo provides integrated services including custody, exchange, lending, and fiat access through a unified digital wallet and the Nexo Card.
The platform supports various cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies while offering instant execution and a tiered loyalty program that affects yield rates. To further reduce friction, Nexo recently introduced instant and fee-free crypto transfers between accounts via Nexotag. The company states that its platform development is currently focused on resolving these specific operational issues for affluent users.
