Bittensor’s TAO Bridges to Robinhood Chain via Chainlink CCIP

Bittensor (TAO) Editor: Eugene Serbin

CoinGape reports that Bittensor’s TAO is now live on Robinhood Chain, expanding its presence beyond its recent launch on Base. Forever Money constructed the bridge using Chainlink CCIP to establish a 1:1 native representation of the token on the Arbitrum Orbit L2. This integration allows the decentralized-AI token to access a chain that already processes billions in weekly DEX volume and flipped Base to become the No. 2 spot on Uniswap.

The underlying consensus of Bittensor remains untouched, meaning the bridged TAO serves as wrapped access rather than a migration of the network. Smart-contract and redemption risks are held by Forever Money and CCIP, and this is distinct from a listing on the Robinhood brokerage app. Standard Chartered analysts noted that CCIP’s role in cross-chain finance is growing, aligning with how Robinhood Chain adopted Chainlink as its official oracle.

TAO is currently trading in the mid-$230s after spiking toward $265 on September 7 following the news. Grayscale filed to convert its GTAO trust into a spot Bittensor ETF earlier this year, adding institutional weight to the project. DCG subsidiary Yuma continues to back core development, supporting the token's infrastructure. Arthur Hayes argued that AI agents will eventually need a currency tied to compute, positioning TAO as a viable settlement token for on-chain agents.

TAO is trading at $231.50 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 50.5%, indicating a slight edge for buyers in the immediate short term. However, the 4-hour buy ratio drops to 45.4%, suggesting that buying pressure is fading over a slightly longer horizon. The 24-hour buy ratio sits at 49.3%, showing a near-even split between buyers and sellers over the full day. Volume Delta reflects this divergence, with a positive $12,369 in the last hour contrasting sharply against a negative -$328,997 over four hours. This indicates that while recent trades show net buying, the broader intraday trend has been dominated by net selling. The Cumulative Volume Delta for the 24-hour close is -$713,510, confirming that sellers have controlled the flow for the majority of the day.

The latest daily buy ratio of 49.6% sits at the 64th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 48.8% - ordinary for this coin.

Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 48.8%, making today's 24-hour ratio of 49.3% only marginally higher by 0.5 points. Spot volume for the day was $15,915,193, which is 0.48 times the weekly average, indicating significantly lower trading activity than usual. Only 2 of the past 7 days saw net buying, and the total Volume Delta for the week was -$2,337,506. The price has declined 12.9% over the last 8 days, underscoring a broader downtrend that persists despite the new bridge news. This represents an unusual day for low volume relative to the weekly norm, with selling pressure remaining the dominant theme over the longer timeframe.
