TRON DAO Highlights Blockchain Monitoring at Washington Event

TRON (TRX) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Tradersunion.com reports that TRON DAO participated in a Washington policy event focused on transparency and coordination to limit illicit finance on public blockchains. The organization joined discussions on how closer cooperation among exchanges, regulators, and law enforcement can improve the identification of illicit activity. A panel titled "The Future of Monitoring Illicit Finance on Public Blockchains" examined the role of on-chain analytics and public-private cooperation.

John Hurston, General Counsel, U.S. at TRON, moderated the session alongside Sarah Ward of Chainalysis, Molly Woodman of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance, and David Feder of Fenwick. Hurston stated that public blockchains offer transparency that supports effective financial crime monitoring, with the next step being stronger coordination across the industry and public sector. TRON DAO linked this messaging to the T3 Financial Crime Unit, a public-private initiative launched with Tether in September 2024.

The unit has helped freeze more than $450 million in suspected illicit assets across cases involving narcotics trafficking, DPRK state-sponsored cyber operations, terrorist financing, violent crime, kidnappings, and major exchange hacks. The Financial Action Task Force recognizes the T3 FCU as an example of effective collaboration against blockchain-based illicit activity. This participation reflects TRON DAO's continued effort to support a more transparent and resilient digital asset ecosystem.

Whalio's Binance spot data for TRX shows a price of $0.3447 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 53.3%, indicating that more than half of the volume came from buyers over the day. However, shorter-term pressure has shifted, with the 1-hour buy ratio dropping to 46.6% and the 4-hour ratio falling further to 42.5%, suggesting that buying momentum is fading in the immediate term. This shift is reflected in the negative volume deltas, which show net selling of $35,335 in the last hour and $1,025,034 over the past four hours. Volume delta measures the difference between buy and sell volume; a negative figure means sellers dominated that period. Despite this recent outflow, the 24-hour volume delta remains positive at $2,158,232, and cumulative buying occurred for 14 of the last 24 hours.

The latest daily buy ratio of 49.7% sits at the 33rd percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 52.4% - ordinary for this coin.
