Arthur Hayes Accumulates $2M in UNI Amid Quiet Market

Uniswap (UNI) Editor: Eugene Serbin

bitcoinethereumnews.com reports that Arthur Hayes has acquired approximately $2 million worth of Uniswap (UNI) over a two-day period. His wallet, identified as “Arthur Hayes 4” on Etherscan, now holds 284,102 tokens following purchases of 244,400 UNI on Sunday and 39,700 on Monday. These acquisitions occurred without any accompanying governance vote, protocol upgrade, or obvious market trigger.

The same address also holds roughly 8,013 Ethereum and has a history of pulling funds from Galaxy Digital, Cumberland, and FalconX. In August, Hayes rebuilt an Ether.fi position he had previously exited. He justified the move on X by stating, “Time to run it back turbo,” referencing his profits during the 2020 DeFi boom.

He also described UNI as his favorite type of sushi, a nod to the Japanese term for sea urchin. At the time of the report, UNI traded near $7.18, up 2.55% in 24 hours, with a market cap of $4.47 billion. Despite a 76.8% monthly gain, the token remains 84% below its May 2021 record of $44.92.
