Uniswap stock-token volume hits US$1.5B

Uniswap (UNI) Editor: Eugene Serbin

grafa.com reports that Uniswap processed approximately US$1.5 billion in stock-token trading on Robinhood Chain over a six-week period. This volume followed the launch of Robinhood Chain, a layer-2 blockchain designed for tokenised assets, roughly six weeks prior. Uniswap accounted for 99% of the stock-token liquidity on this network during that time.

The protocol passed the US$1 billion cumulative volume milestone in mid-August before reaching the reported total. On August 29, Uniswap’s daily stock-token volume exceeded US$130 million, setting a new record. About 60% of the trading activity occurred outside regular US stock-market hours.

The report notes that tokenised stocks can support features such as fractional ownership and round-the-clock trading. However, regulation remains a key issue for these assets. The data was cited by BitcoinWorld from Crypto Briefing.

UNI is trading at $5.13 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 54.2%, indicating that buyers are currently outpacing sellers over the full day. However, the 1-hour buy ratio has dropped to 48.2%, suggesting that short-term buying pressure is fading compared to the daily average. The 4-hour buy ratio sits at 44.9%, further confirming that recent momentum is leaning toward selling. Volume delta measures the net difference between buy and sell volume; a negative delta means more volume was executed at the ask price, indicating sellers are in control. Over the last hour, the volume delta is -$65,988, and over four hours, it is -$1,231,414. This contrasts with the 24-hour volume delta of +$6,477,145, showing that while the day started with net buying, the most recent activity is net selling.

The latest daily buy ratio of 45.7% sits at the 13th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.2% - weaker buying than most days.
