Whale moves $12.8M UNI to Wintermute on OTC suspicion

Uniswap (UNI) Editor: Eugene Serbin

lookonchain.com reports that a crypto whale transferred 1.37 million UNI tokens, valued at approximately $12.83 million, to Wintermute’s hot wallet. The transaction occurred via an intermediate address, with the whale previously withdrawing the tokens from Coinbase Prime at 11:00. The aggregated transfer to Wintermute happened roughly five minutes after the withdrawal.

This movement is suspected to be an over-the-counter (OTC) position reduction. The specific address involved is 0x47c979286d5a701d47b87aecb15f919eeaba2b8e. The report also notes that an address linked to BlackRock withdrew approximately $127 million worth of BTC and ETH from Coinbase Prime. Other market activity included a whale adding nearly $12 million in positions against the market trend, primarily taking ETH long positions.

Additionally, a $PEPE whale transferred all 2.1T tokens, worth $52 million, to a new address after being dormant for 600 days. A smart AI coin trader reportedly made $17.6 million trading $GOAT, $ai16z, $Fartcoin, and $arc. The source listed several other events, including Solana Foundation’s update on slot targets and a trader profiting $448K from Binance listings.
