World Liberty Financial Unveils Token-Lock Rewards to Boost Governance Turnout

cryptopotato.com reports that World Liberty Financial has introduced a governance proposal offering rewards to WLFI token holders who lock their assets and actively vote. The initiative, targeting a launch date of October 1, ties payouts to participation by requiring a minimum 180-day lock via a non-custodial on-chain protocol. To remain eligible, holders must vote on at least one proposal every 90 days, with the project committing to at least one vote per quarter.

Rewards are drawn from a dynamic pool funded by fees from World Liberty Markets and Dolomite, which tops up every two weeks. A 5% cap on voting-power concentration prevents any single position from dominating, while all holders retain governance rights regardless of whether they lock tokens. The proposal has received dozens of brief endorsements on the forum and positive commentary on X. Trader Elja described the plan as one of the more interesting developments for $WLFI holders, framing it as a reward for commitment rather than passive holding.

This effort follows a March attempt at a tiered Node and Super Node staking system focused on OTC access. The project is currently navigating a lawsuit from Justin Sun regarding frozen tokens and governance rights. At the time of writing, WLFI traded just below $0.060, down 1.4% in 24 hours but 2% higher than a week prior. The token remains over 70% below its one-year high and touched an all-time low near $0.048 four days ago.
