Zebec and AllUnity launch EURAU employee benefits on Stellar
bsc.news reports that Zebec and AllUnity have launched a regulated euro stablecoin employee-benefits program on the Stellar network. German employers can now pay staff perks in $EURAU, which AllUnity describes as Europe's first program of its kind using regulated digital currency. The pilot combines enterprise-grade payroll infrastructure with Stellar's settlement speed, allowing funds to clear in seconds rather than days.
Employees receive benefits directly to digital wallets, where they can access spending, savings, and payment options via the Zebec platform. The setup leverages German tax law, which allows benefit allowances to be exempt from tax up to a set monthly limit. AllUnity holds an E-Money Institution license from BaFin, granted on 1 July 2025, and issues EURAU under the EU's MiCAR framework.
The stablecoin is backed by a multi-bank full reserve model and includes Mastercard-powered payment cards for merchants. Alexander Höptner, CEO of AllUnity, stated that employee benefits are natural use cases for regulated digital currencies. He noted that the pilot demonstrates how EURAU supports real-world financial operations while meeting enterprise standards. Zebec has not yet named the participating employers or shared user numbers for the program.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for XLM, measured when this story was written up on 17 September 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
XLM is trading at $0.1839 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 61.2%, indicating strong immediate buying pressure. This contrasts with the 4-hour buy ratio of 47.7% and the 24-hour ratio of 45.5%, suggesting that recent buying is outpacing the broader daily trend. The 1-hour volume delta is positive at $206,219, while the 4-hour delta is negative at -$169,609. Over the last 24 hours, the volume delta sits at -$1,960,518, showing that net selling has dominated the full day despite the recent spike in buys. The buy ratio measures the proportion of trades that are buys versus sells, so a ratio above 50% means buyers are currently winning. The volume delta shows the net value of buying versus selling pressure, where a positive number indicates net inflows.
The latest daily buy ratio of 47.8% sits at the 16th percentile of the last 324 days, against a median of 50.7% - weaker buying than most days.
Was that an ordinary day?
The same Binance spot measurements for XLM, averaged over the days leading up to the story.
Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 49.5%, making the current 24-hour ratio of 45.5% slightly below the weekly norm. The 24-hour spot volume of $22,018,623 is 1.15 times the weekly average, indicating above-average activity. While the 8-day price change was a modest +1.5%, the total volume delta for that period was -$3,591,583. This week saw net buying on only 3 of 7 days, which is a relatively low frequency of positive flow. Compared to the weekly average, the recent 1-hour surge in buying pressure appears to be an unusual spike rather than a sustained trend.
