XRP Faces Decision Point Below $1.65 as Analysts Eye $1.27 Support

XRP (XRP) Editor: Eugene Serbin

news.bitcoin.com reports that XRP is approaching a critical decision point below $1.65, with its narrowing trading range signaling a potential turning point. Crypto analyst CasiTrades suggests the token could make one final advance toward $1.70 before a larger pullback begins, though she notes the correction could start immediately without that extra high. In an October 6 analysis, she described the consolidation as nearing the convergence of its trend lines, where a fifth wave would typically represent a final advance.

If the pullback begins sooner, $1.27 emerges as a major support zone, with $1.10 as a secondary level if selling deepens. CasiTrades stated, “Holding $1.27 or $1.10 would support the new-trend structure I’ve been tracking.” She added that a new low near $0.90 would reset the count, but emphasized that the most important factor is simply not making a new low. The more bullish path involves an advance to $1.70, potentially completing the final leg before a retreat.

Alternatively, a stronger breakout toward $1.80 could allow XRP to treat the $1.65 barrier as support from above. This level also appears in veteran trader Peter Brandt’s chart, which features a horizontal line at $1.6572 and a coffee cup pattern suggesting a cup-and-handle formation. Meanwhile, XRP futures turnover across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled about $56.18 billion in September, while liquidation pressure on Binance has eased after recent spikes.

XRP is currently trading at $1.50 on Binance, with spot volume reaching $117,180,421 over the last 24 hours. Buying pressure appears to be building, as the 1-hour buy ratio of 51.1% and the 4-hour ratio of 52.7% both exceed the 24-hour average of 53.2%. The volume delta indicates net buying activity, with positive deltas of $186,783 for the hour, $4,363,925 for the four hours, and $7,497,926 for the day. Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) closed at +$10,655,040, and net buying occurred in 18 of the last 24 hours. This suggests that buyers are currently outpacing sellers in the short term, driving a positive flow delta.

The latest daily buy ratio of 50.6% sits at the 83rd percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 48.5% - stronger buying than most days.

Compared to the preceding week, today’s activity shows a slight increase in buying sentiment, with the latest day’s buy ratio 4.4 percentage points higher than the 7-day average of 48.8%. However, trading volume remains subdued at 0.63 times the weekly average, indicating lower participation despite the improved ratio. While the 24-hour volume delta is positive, the 8-day total volume delta was -$23,360,968, showing that net buying is not yet a consistent feature of the week. Only one day out of the past seven saw net buying, suggesting this is an unusual day for the coin relative to its recent history.
