Bitget Hack Funds Shielded in Zcash as Price Drops
cryptocurrency.com.tr reports that hackers behind the Bitget breach, allegedly linked to DPRK attackers, have moved a portion of their stolen funds into a private payment system to make the money harder to track. ZachXBT states that around 2,700 $ZEC, worth $3.8M, has started moving into Zcash’s Ironwood shielded pool. This transaction activity is part of the broader hack that drained $387.5 million from the exchange. The movement into the shielded pool means the stolen ZEC is now being pushed into a pool where transaction details are obscured.
