bitcoinethereumnews.com reports that Zcash (ZEC) is trading near $1,185, marking an 11% gain over the past 24 hours. Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) held $463.2 million in assets as of Sept. 4, following its conversion from the Grayscale Zcash Trust on Aug. 25. The fund, now listed on NYSE Arca, closed at $83.77 per share, up 7.62% for the day, before slipping to $82.20 in after-hours trading.

ZCSH became the first US-listed spot ETF for a privacy-focused token, holding 444,608 ZEC tokens with 5.55 million shares outstanding. Daily volume reached 804,728 shares, and the fund’s year-to-date return stands at 166.44%. ZEC has risen among the ten largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, with a market cap exceeding $20 billion.

Despite the rally, the token remains far below its 2016 all-time high of $3,191.93. Steve Vanourny, Grayscale’s head of index, linked the launch to rising demand for financial privacy. He stated, “As AI reshapes how financial activity can be monitored, we believe demand for genuine financial privacy will only grow.” The fund’s net asset value per share was $83.48, within a 52-week range of $3.54 to $84.23.
