Aptos native USDT support launches on Taiwan's MAX exchange
Cryptobriefing.com reports that MAX Digital Asset Exchange has enabled native Tether USDT deposits and withdrawals on the Aptos blockchain. Operating under the MaiCoin Group, MAX is the dominant platform for TWD-denominated crypto trading in Taiwan. The new on-ramp and off-ramp functionality allows users to convert TWD directly into Aptos-native USDT without using cross-chain bridges.
Deposits and withdrawals became available on September 29, with new trading pairs scheduled to open on September 30 at 15:00 GMT+8. The integration supports both directions, letting users withdraw Aptos USDT to their wallets or deposit from them. MAX is also listing HYPE, GRAM, APT, and RENDER for trading on September 30.
Users must select the correct Aptos network to avoid permanent asset loss. Tether began minting USDT natively on Aptos in late 2024, following support from major exchanges like Binance and Bithumb. MaiCoin Group positions MAX as a compliance-focused platform in a region with developing regulatory clarity. The group also issues the MAX utility token for trading fee discounts.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for APT, measured when this story was written up on 30 September 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
APT is trading at $0.7903 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 53.0%, indicating immediate short-term buying interest. However, the 4-hour buy ratio drops to 38.4%, suggesting that this buying pressure is fading over a slightly longer timeframe. The 24-hour buy ratio sits at 44.3%, showing that net selling has dominated the day. Volume Delta reflects this imbalance, with a positive $16,490 in the last hour contrasting sharply with a negative -$236,273 over four hours. Over 24 hours, the net outflow reaches -$1,600,978, confirming sustained selling pressure. Cumulative Volume Delta closed at -$1,736,351, with only 4 of 24 hours seeing net buying.
The latest daily buy ratio of 50.0% sits at the 59th percentile of the last 323 days, against a median of 49.3% - ordinary for this coin.
Was that an ordinary day?
The same Binance spot measurements for APT, averaged over the days leading up to the story.
The current 24-hour buy ratio of 44.3% is below the 7-day average of 49.1%, marking a 4.8 point decline in buying intensity. Spot volume of $14,324,997 is 1.08 times the weekly average, indicating slightly higher activity than usual. Over the preceding eight days, the coin experienced a -4.7% price change and a total Volume Delta of -$3,267,731. Only 3 of the last 7 days saw net buying, highlighting a generally bearish trend. This day continues the pattern of net outflows seen over the week, despite the slight volume increase.
