Arbitrum integrates Paxos USDG stablecoin as whale activity shifts

Arbitrum (ARB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

lookonchain.com reports that Arbitrum has joined the Paxos-led Global Dollar Network, making USDG live on its network. The stablecoin is now integrated with DeFi protocols including Morpho, GMX, Fluid, and Maple. Kraken will provide fiat-crypto on/offramps, while Uniswap plans subsequent integrations.

Unlike traditional models, GDN allocates a portion of reserve asset returns to partners driving USDG adoption. This structure allows Arbitrum and its ecosystem projects to share economic benefits from the stablecoin’s growth. ArbitrumDAO has received a governance proposal to prioritize USDG growth as a strategic focus.

The proposal recommends adding 100 million ARB to the DRIP incentive program. It also suggests utilizing treasury assets to support USDG liquidity. The proposal has not yet been approved by the community.
