Solana app revenue hits $180 million in September

Solana (SOL) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Cryptobriefing.com reports that Solana applications generated $180 million in revenue during September, marking a nine-month high. This performance secured a 32% share of total blockchain app revenue, with roughly one in three dollars earned on-chain flowing through the network. On September 12, daily app revenue peaked at $7.935 million, surpassing the combined totals of Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Hyperliquid L1, and BNB Smart Chain.

Weekly revenue also climbed to $49.9 million in late September, a level not seen since mid-2025. The network recorded 7,699 monthly active programs, the highest count since August 2025. Despite this revenue growth from August’s $143.23 million, Solana’s market share slipped from 38.1% to 32%.

A Spanish-language report estimated September revenue at approximately $145.75 million, highlighting discrepancies in how different trackers count fees. The rise in active programs alongside revenue suggests a growing economy rather than a temporary spike. Rivals were active enough to reduce Solana’s share even as its total earnings increased. Methodology differences explain the gap between the $180 million figure and the lower estimate.

Solana is trading at $118.12 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 49.8%, indicating near-even distribution between buyers and sellers. The 1-hour buy ratio has dropped to 34.5%, while the 4-hour ratio sits at 46.5%, showing that short-term buying pressure is fading compared to the broader daily trend. Volume delta reflects this shift, with negative values of -$3,467,739 over one hour and -$2,607,401 over four hours. Over the full 24-hour period, the volume delta is -$1,130,355, and cumulative volume delta closed at -$7,679,835. These negative deltas indicate that sell volume has exceeded buy volume in recent hours, despite the 24-hour buy ratio remaining near parity. Spot volume for the period reached $348,023,504 across more than one million trades.

The latest daily buy ratio of 48.8% sits at the 27th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 50.0% - weaker buying than most days.
